Josh Wyatt


Mr. Wyatt joined Equinox in June 2016 as President of its new Hotel division to spearhead the ideation and rollout of the Equinox luxury lifestyle hotel brand. With the NYC flagship property slated to open in 2019 at Related Cos.’ Hudson Yards development under way on Manhattan’s west side, the Yabu Pushelberg-designed hotel will include indoor and outdoor swimming pools and, at 60,000 square feet, one of the largest ever Equinox clubs. Locations in other key gateway cities are soon to follow. A veteran to hospitality business, Mr. Wyatt has extensive experience in the industry as an investor, entrepreneur, owner and creator of several hotel platforms. In 2006, he created the hospitality and leisure division for Patron Capital, a large real estate private equity fund, where he served for 11 years as a Partner and Senior Advisor. In 2007 with Patron as lead backer, he created the world’s first design-led, lifestyle hostel concept with the launch of Generator Hostels. He grew Generator into a global platform with 14 properties in 10 countries, and subsequently refashioned the hostel asset class into an institutional asset class. Mr. Wyatt has also been featured in numerous business, lifestyle and trade publications including the Financial Times, New York Times, Bloomberg TV, Elle Magazine, Lodging Magazine, Architectural Record, Sleeper, Skift, Hospitality and the Wall Street Journal. Josh received his B.A. in International Studies & Economics from American University (1996) and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School (2005).
