Robert Kelle is the co-founder of MAPLE Business Council®, an executive-level organization promoting cross-border investment, trade and entrepreneurship between Southern California and Canada and among Southern California businesses with ties to Canada. MAPLE is recognized on both sides of the border as the leading private organization focused on Canada-Southern California business relations.
Mr. Kelle is also co-founder in Axellium, a professional services firm that helps growing companies get traction on key initiatives, regain control over runaway projects and optimize their organizations, processes and tools to achieve peak performance.
Mr. Kelle served as chief information officer for Cal Atlantic Homes, a Fortune 500 home building company, where he transformed the technology organization and established the processes and systems platform that supported the company’s growth. He started his career in the real estate industry, including roles in commercial real estate brokerage, and lending to commercial and residential real estate developers. He was a senior manager in Ernst & Young’s management consulting practice, where he executed transformation initiatives, including major process improvement, system implementations, and merger integration. Mr. Kelle’s consulting clients included Toyota, Wal-Mart, Simon Property Group, Crown Castle International, The Irvine Company, and Dignity Health. He also helped launch the firm’s e-Strategic Ventures initiative supporting the startup community with business plan development.
Mr. Kelle holds an honors degree in urban development from Western University in London, Canada. He is a co-founder of Canadians in Orange County, chairs the board of MAPLE Business Council®, and is the Orange County alumni contact for Western University.
