Timothy Liu is the Senior Director of Commercial Strategy for Air Canada, a position he has held since June, 2015. Since joining the company, Mr. Liu has chiefly been responsible for the commercialization and operationalization of Air Canada’s international route expansions, as well as developing the long term commercial vision of the airline’s passenger business. His portfolio of initiatives covered network planning, fleet development, and development of new markets. Recently, Mr. Liu added the management of the international sales organization to his portfolio of responsibilities.
Prior to joining Air Canada, Mr. Liu served as the Senior Director – International Sales / Asia and the Director of Network Strategy at Hawaiian Airlines, where he led the company’s rapid network expansion. Previously he was a consultant with Bain & Company, strategy consulting firm and at Brierley & Partners, a firm specializing in customer loyalty strategy. Mr. Liu has also held revenue management positions at United Airlines and Northwest Airlines.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Strategic Management from The University of Chicago.
